Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator
Our client is seeking an organised and proactive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
As an EHS Coordinator, you'll be the linchpin in ensuring all environmental, health, and safety standards are met. This includes organising statutory training, managing data and reports, purchasing necessary supplies, and handling occupational health and business continuity. You'll be pivotal in coordinating visitor controls and driving several improvement projects.
Salary circa £35,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE + exceptional benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support all training needs, including specific job requirements and compliance.
- Source and purchase various parts and supplies for EHS needs.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards and site-specific guidelines.
- Maintain and report on all EHS key performance indicators.
- Update and manage health and safety metrics using EHS Software.
- Assist with improvement projects: from planning and justifying to quoting and implementing.
- Handle multiple projects, managing risks and prioritising tasks effectively.
- Support the containment, investigation, and reporting of accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Manage PPE requirements, including safety shoes, overalls, and task-specific equipment.
- Assist with contractor control and validation, maintaining specific requirements.
- Address site queries and requests.
- Monitor compliance inspections and conduct site audits.
- Lead site environmental improvement projects.
- Support site occupational health surveillance.
Qualifications:
- Part or full NEBOSH qualification or currently working towards it.
- Relevant experience in EHS or manufacturing coordination and administration.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments and processes.
- Proven track record of leading projects in a similar EHS role.
This position is based in Redditch and is easily commutable from Bromsgrove, Studley, Alcester, Droitwich, Alvechurch, Evesham, Birmingham, Solihull, Worcester, Kidderminster and Stourbridge.
