Polisher Required – Precision Manufacturing
Are you detail-focused with a passion for high-quality craftsmanship? Our client is seeking a Polisher to join their existing team, specialising in finishing precision-forged aerofoil blades to exacting visual and dimensional standards. In this hands-on role, you’ll work with top-grade materials including titanium, aluminium, and steel alloys, ensuring that each component meets the high standards for aerospace applications.
Position Details
- Salary: £13.43 per hour, rising to £14.92 per hour upon completion of training
- Hours: Day shifts, four days per week, 6 am - 4 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Surface Perfection: Remove surface defects on aerofoil blades to achieve flawless finishes, adhering to SOPs and Route Card Discipline.
- Skilled Use of Equipment: Operate pedestal grinders and polishers, and craft your own polishing mops and bobs.
- Achieve Polished Results: Work with various tools, abrasives, and compounds to deliver high-standard surface finishes.
- Ensure Compliance: Follow all HSE guidelines, including PPE, and meet key metrics to support production goals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Preferred Background: Experience in metal polishing or surface refinement.
- Specialised Training: Wheel abrasive, crane, and FLT licenses are highly desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Strong understanding of visual standards and specifications, with an ability to respond quickly to rework needs.
