About the Role:
As the Senior Chemical Process Engineer, you will provide technical support across all business units, ensuring adherence to customer specifications and industry standards. You'll play a key role in maintaining accreditations, supporting audits, and leading improvements to chemical processes, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the incorporation of customer specifications and requirements into the company’s quality management system.
- Oversee ISO 17025, NADCAP, and customer audits for chemical processes.
- Provide technical input for site chemical activities, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
- Investigate production problems and recommend solutions to enhance process performance.
- Drive improvements in chemical special processes and materials testing instructions.
- Manage documentation, including data cards, internal process specifications, and quality instructions.
- Lead internal audits and review certificates of conformity for compliance.
- Analyse data for historical trend reviews and support NPI (New Product Introduction) projects.
- Provide technical training and support to operators and team members.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
About You:
- Strong experience in anodising, chemical conversion, and etching processes.
- Understanding of NADCAP chemical processing programs.
- Industry-recognised qualifications in chemistry or metal finishing (e.g., Institute of Metal Finishing).
- Experience managing compliance with ISO and customer-specific standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and develop teams.
